Blizzard may be Facing Multiple Lawsuits in the Near Future

Ever since the release of Diablo III, Blizzard has been under attack by their once dedicated fans. A lot of players were not satisfied with the game, saying that it was a watered down version of Diablo II. I really don't think that's the case, but rather the effect of nostalgia on those gamers.

Telekinesis serves as a disabling skill to be the second one to max level. By the way, disabling skill should be your first choice to steal.

Researchers Crack 923-bit Encryption, Set New World Record

Posted: 20 Jun 2012 11:29 AM PDT

Remember when it was announced that SandForce 2000 series-based SSDs were only obscurifying data at 128-bit AES encryption, rather than the 256-bit protection promised? Turns out it doesn't matter, because a team of researchers recently managed to crack open a 278 digit, 923-bit long pairing-based cryptography system. That's a new world record and up until the time it happened, breaking cryptography that complex was thought to be impossible.

To be fair, the researchers -- a joint venture between Fujitsu Laboratories Limited, Japan's National Institute of Information and Communications Technology, and Kyushu University -- took 148 days (and a few extra hours) to complete the task, and it involved a setup no average no-goodnik could ever get his hands on. (Edit: All right, all right, maybe he could.)

Even cracking the code in that not-insignificant amount of time took 21 computers with a combined 252 cores. Cracking complex cryptographic code is all about the computational firepower you can bring to bear, as Fujitsu explains in its press release:

We were able to overcome this problem by making good use of various new technologies, that is, a technique optimizing parameter setting that uses computer algebra, a two dimensional search algorithm extended from the linear search, and by using our efficient programing techniques to calculate a solution of an equation from a huge number of data, as well as the parallel programming technology that maximizes computer power.

The previous world record for cryptoanalysis was held by researchers from NICT and Hakodate Future University, who successfully managed to crack a comparably paltry 676-bit encryption in 2009.

Nigerian Princes: Scientifically Designed to Identify Idiots

Posted: 20 Jun 2012 11:01 AM PDT

Oh, those wacky Nigerian princes and their tales of lost fortunes. If only they had your help! But they don't, of course, because anybody with half a brain can see through the scam. And that's the key to the scheme, one Microsoft researcher says in a 14 page report about Nigerian scams; the fantastic stories serve to screen out skeptical folks, leaving the scammers free to pick off the low-hanging fruit that responds to wild emails from African royalty.

The abstract to Cormac Herley's "Why do Nigerian Scammers Say They are from Nigeria?" sums things up nicely, followed by a ton of probability checks, algebra and graphs to back up his big talk:

Far-fetched tales of West African riches strike most as comical. Our analysis suggests that is an advantage to the attacker, not a disadvantage. Since his attack has a low density of victims the Nigerian scammer has an over-riding need to reduce false positives. By sending an email that repels all but the most gullible the scammer gets the most promising marks to self-select, and tilts the true to false positive ratio in his favor.

The scammers have to spend a lot of time exchanging emails with possible victims, Herley goes on to explain. By enticing savvy folks (like Maximum PC readers) into quickly tossing ridiculous scam emails into the junk folder, the criminals maximize their potential profit by focusing their efforts on gullible grandmothers with a taste for snake oil.

If you don't mind tl;dr reports that are peppered with math, be sure to check out the full report. It's an interesting read. Props to [H]ardOCP for pointing it out!

Cooler Master Launches CM Storm Stryker Full Tower Chassis

Posted: 20 Jun 2012 07:48 AM PDT

Cooler Master this week rolled out another aggressive looking computer case, the CM Storm Stryker. This latest model is a full tower enclosure and the second model in its class to include a sturdy carrying handle, just in case you want to pack this thing with high end hardware and then lug it around to LAN parties (or from room to room, as it were) "with relative ease." It's relative, because trying to carry a hulking computer case without a handle will test both your strength and agility.

The CM Storm Stryker features a glossy black and white finish on both the case and fans. It has a windowed side panel, dust filters, fan controller, external SSD hot-swap dock, and modular hard drive cages.

For neat freaks (or those concerned about optimal air cooling), Cooler Master says its Storm Stryker offers myriad cable tie zones and cutouts to route your gnarly mess of wires. You'll have a lot of them if you manage to fill the nine expansion slots and all 14 hard drive bays.

The CM Storm Stryker will be available later this month. Price will vary by region, Cooler Master says.

Latest Swype Beta Upgrades "Living, Learning Keyboard" with Four-in-One Input

Posted: 20 Jun 2012 07:11 AM PDT

Nuance Communications, a major player in voice recognition software (think Dragon NaturallySpeaking) and the driving force behind Apple's Siri voice assistant, is making the most out of its Swype acquisition, which it purchased in October 2011 for more than $100 million. The latest Swype build, available now in beta form, is a four-in-one keyboard Nuance describes as "a revolutionary step forward in the way people communicate and input text on their mobile device."

The four-in-one keyboard design offers up four input modes on a single keyboard. You can 'swype' from letter to letter, of course, as well as type rapidly with predictive text input powered by XT9, speak naturally using the integrated Dragon button, or write letters using your fingertip.

"People use their keyboards every day in every way – so input needs to be fast and simple," said Michael Thompson, executive vice president and general manager, Nuance Mobile. "The new Swype living, learning keyboard ushers in a new era of input, where the keyboard adapts to the users' unique way of communicating every time they swype, speak, tap or write."

Swype will adapt to your lingo via voice-text dictionary syncing. When you input a new word on the keyboard, it gets added to the your personal dictionary for speech and text. Swype also learns from emails, texts, and posts, Nuance says.

The latest build is already available for OEMs supporting Android an via and SDK. If you're feeling impatient, you can download the Sywpe Beta for Android by going to beta.swype.com.

Acer Founder Suspicious of Microsoft's Surface Tablet Strategy

Posted: 20 Jun 2012 06:43 AM PDT

It's been an exciting week for Microsoft, which just the other day unveiled its Surface tablet, a surprisingly promising device that just may have the legs to go the distance, if not with the iPad, then certainly against Android and ARM. But let's not sell the Surface short, with the right strategy and continued interest from Microsoft, this could be big. Or, as Acer founder Stan Shih suspects, the whole Surface strategy is nothing more than a bunch of smoke and mirrors intended to sell consumers on Windows 8.

That's not such a bad thing, except Shih says Microsoft isn't really interested in selling its own brand tablets and will look to jump ship as quick as it can, DigiTimes reports. Microsoft's vision, according to Shih, is to encourage vendors to carry Windows 8 tablet PCs, and not just Surface, but other models from other companies, too.

As Shih sees it, Microsoft isn't motivated to sell hardware because it's more profitable to license its software. On top of that, being a hardware vendor in the tablet space brings about a whole new set of challenges, like product management, warranty service, and all that fun stuff.

Short and to the point, Shih believes Surface is a ploy to put Windows 8 in the hearts and minds of vendors, and once there, Microsoft will bolt from the tablet market place (on the hardware side).

Acer Announces Slimmed Down Timeline Ultra M5 Ultrabook

Posted: 20 Jun 2012 06:07 AM PDT

Chugga-chugga, chugga-chugga, choo-choo! That's the Ultrabook train coming around the bend with yet another shipment of thin and light laptops, and this time it's carrying a load of Acer Timeline Ultra M5 models throughout the U.S. Acer's new Timeline Ultra line boasts models that are slimmer and lighter than previous generation Timeline laptops, measuring a mere 0.81 inches thick and barely budging the scale at 4.3 pounds.

It's a given that any new Ultrabook series is going to tout Intel's Ivy Bridge architecture inside, and the M5 Ultras are no exception, at least on the higher end models. The lowest priced model (M5-481T-6670) starts at $680 and actually includes a Core i3 2377M processor (Sandy Bridge), along with a 14-inch display (1366x768 resolution), 6GB of DDR3 memory, Intel HD 3000 graphics, 500GB hard drive + 20GB solid state drive, built-in optical drive, two USB 3.0 ports, backlit keyboard, Dolby Home Theater v4 sound, and Acer's usual assortment of proprietary technologies (Acer Green Instant On and Acer Always Connect).

If you want to roll with Ivy Bridge, you have to step up to the M5-481TG-6814 starting at $780. This one packs a Core i5 3317U processor into the same 14-inch frame with the same resolution (drats!) and lowers the RAM to 4GB, but bumps up the graphics to an Nvidia GT640M LE GPU.

There's also a third model (M5-581TG-6666) with a 15.6-inch display that starts at $830. Despite the larger screen, it's still saddled with a 1366x768 resolution, which is hard to go bananas over when those in the Mac camp are singing praise for their MacBook Airs with Retina Displays. MacBook Airs cost a few hundred more, but still, Full HD 1080p on a 15.6-inch seems like a reasonable request.

In any event, the M5-581TG-6666 bumps the RAM back up to 6GB and weighs 5.07 pounds instead of 4.3 pounds. Otherwise, the specs are same as the M5-481TG-6814.

All three models will be available to purchase online at Acer and at retailers across the U.S. at the end of this month.

NGames is proud to announce the exciting sequel to hit Naruto and Bleach inspired MMORPG, Pockie Ninja – Pockie Ninja II Original – launching this July.

Building on the groundbreaking, multiple award winning work on Pockie Ninja, Pockie Ninja II Original improves all the elements that made the anime-inspired RPG one of the surprise hits of 2011.

Featuring lusher anime elements, more fabulous graphics and cooler in-game systems, Pockie Ninja II Original is set to wow anime fans and gamers alike when the game launches its open beta this July.

Engine Upgraded & Graphics Perfected

Pockie Ninja II Original upgrades this graphics engine to version 2.0, providing even more impressive, technically excellent vision and sound design. Characters are much more vivid in both expression and action, while the already stunning skill displays and special effects will be taken to whole new levels of visual engagement.

Safeguarding Player Interests

NGames is extremely proud of the community support efforts shown in Pockie Ninja and has carried many player suggestions over to Pockie Ninja II Original.

Despite their small stature, the little Pockie Ninja voices have been heard and their advice heeded, making Pockie Ninja II Original NGames’ fairest, most complete game yet.

Clan Inheritance of Bloodline Limit

Uchiha Clan's Sharingan, Hyuga Clan's white eye, Akimichi Clan's Multi-Size Technique….. All Bloodline Limits in the famous Naruto series have a rigid family inheritance system, which will show in the new clan system of Pockie Ninja II Original.

This is no ordinary clan system. Players will have the chance to feel closer to their favorite anime than ever before as they play to create such famous clans as Senju, Uchiha and Sarutobi.

Zanpakuto Debuts

Every soul reaper acquires a weapon called Zanpakuto at birth.

In Pockie Ninja II Original, players can also enjoy the “benefit” of Zanpakuto, which will always come along with players and aid in their quests. With this sword, all enemies will be crushed!

Free Game Mode

Ever get tired of endless, repetitive quests? Sick of having to run everywhere for exclusive, rare materials in order to complete a mission? Hate those greedy NPC’s who are only out to exploit you?

Leave it all behind with Pockie Ninja II Original’s new free roam approach. The shackles are off for the ninjas of this new world – whatever you want to do, it’s your call.

With a highly free and comprehensive system, players can have fun in various ways. Those who dislike competing for level upgrades and gears can opt for a leisurely life instead. Genius millionaires, walking travelers, and dedicated farmers are just a few of the myriad of options on offer.

The Fourth Shinobi War Breaks Out! Akatsuki VS Kabuto

Pockie Ninja II Original will heavily feature the fan favorite Fourth Shinobi War, launched by "Mask Man" Tobi in the Naruto anime series.

The new battle system lets players decide which side of the war they wish to join – affiliate with the militant Akatsuki, or the peace-keeping ninja alliance. The choice, and ultimate fate of the new ninja world, is entirely up to the player.

Pockie Ninja II Original is coming! NGames will release more details soon. Stay tuned!

Update 7.4 for World of Tanks Now Available

New Game Modes, Armored Vehicles and Battle Arenas Enter the Fight

20th June, 2012 — Wargaming, the award-winning global videogame developer and publisher, announced today the release of Update 7.4 for its distinguished free-to-play MMO action game World of Tanks. The update introduces some sweeping changes to the game, including two news game modes, an impressive collection of new French armored vehicles, new maps and two premium machines for the Soviet and German tech trees.

Encounter Battle and Assault, the two newly introduced game modes, will provide players with innovative new gameplay experiences that emphasize strategic team gameplay. In Encounter Battle, two opposing teams must fight over a single base. In Assault, one team must defend a single base against an opposing team, who must capture the point at all costs.

"Update 7.4 and its two new game modes definitely refresh the game and bring more exciting and challenging combat tasks to players", comments Mike Zhivets, producer of World of Tanks. “The addition of new French SPGs and tank destroyers only enhances the game's already deep strategic and tactical gameplay".

Update 7.4 sees the French tech tree updated with new long range SPGs including Renault BS, Lorraine 39 L AM, AMX 105 AM, AMX-13 F3 AM, Lorraine 155 (50), Lorraine 155 (51), Bat. Chatillon 155, boosting excellent possibilities for thoughtful, slow-paced combat ground action. For even more firepower, the French reinforcements also include eight new tank destroyers: Renault FT AC, Renault UE 57, Somua Sau 40, S 35 CA, ARL V 39, AMX AC de 100, AMX AC de 120, AMX 50 Foch.

For players looking for new ground to conquer, Update 7.4 also delivers two new, diverse maps. Widepark brings the fight to a dense labyrinth of streets in a half-ruined European style town, ideal for deadly ambushes and dynamic "cat and mouse" games in an urban environment. Airfield takes players away to North Africa, where hilly terrain provides good cover from shelling and airbase installations satisfy those who like deliberate precision fire from higher grounds or high speed racing across open ground.

Update 7.4 also introduces new premium content, specifically for the Germany and Russian trees, including the Soviet made heavy tank IS 6 (tier VIII) and the German Jagdtiger, also known as the JagdTiger mit 8.8cm KwK 43 L/71 (tier VIII).

World of Tanks is the first and only team-based, massively multiplayer online action game dedicated to armored warfare. Throw yourself into the epic tank battles of World War II with other steel cowboys all over the world. Your arsenal includes more than 150 armored vehicles from United States, Germany, the Soviet Union, France and Britain, carefully detailed with historical accuracy.

A flexible system of authentic vehicle upgrades and development allows you to try any of the vehicles and weapons in the game. Whether you prefer to exhaust your foes with fast and maneuverable light tanks, make deep breaches in enemy lines with all-purpose medium tanks, use the force of giant tanks to eliminate opposing armored forces, or become a heavy sniper with long-range howitzers, each unit type has its own advantages and can be extremely effective when operated by a true tank ace.

But being a great tank commander alone isn’t enough to win! In World of Tanks, it’s all about teamwork. Victory is achieved by combining your combat skills with those of the other members of your team, each playing their own role on the battlefield. Just add your favorite strategy to build your own steel empire and manifest the indisputable authority of the tank power!

DRAGON SAGA EVOLVES INTO LEGENDARY FORM

Huge Game Updates Coming Throughout 2012

Marina del Rey, California -June 20, 2012 – Gravity Interactive, a publisher of exciting massive multiplayer online role-playing games (MMORPGs), announced today the start of a massive content update that will progress throughout the year for their mystical MMORPG, Dragon Saga. With the recent addition of a playable Dragonkin race, players have the ability to undertake any of 34 classes across 6 base jobs while enjoying an all new amazing graphics update! Players who are ready to take on new challenges can jump straight into the side-scrolling action at http://playdragonsaga.com/

Dragon Saga is a game with infinite amounts of untapped potential, and we’re excited to be unveiling the new Legendary update!” said Vince Kim, Dragon Saga Producer at Gravity Interactive. “Overall, players will see changes and improvements that will fall under a dozen different categories. We’re revealing just four of them today, and you’ll hear more about the others in the future as the new content and updates continue throughout the summer.”

Here’s just a small sample of the many upgrades Dragon Saga will be receiving during the Legendary Update:

Updated Graphics

Since its launch in 2010, designers have worked hard to give the world of Dragon Saga a sleeker look without losing its anime-style charm. Now their efforts are ready to be shared with the world, as improvements from backdrops to characters, weapon and armor detail and much more will allow players to be drawn deeper into a mystical world.

Chain Combo Skills

No more boring attack buttons! New Chain Combo skills bring Dragon Saga’s combat system closer, than ever before, to that of an arcade fighting game. Normal attack buttons can be chained into high damage skills. This new system offers a new way for players to show off their gaming skills.

Dungeon Drop Overhaul

In response to the feedback from our community, Dungeons and their item drops have been improved to provide a better play experience for everyone! Players will immediately notice changes in their gear, such as level requirement changes, stat distribution corrected, or pre-requisites added or deleted.

Mini-Map Improvements

Finding what you need in towns has never been so easy! Now important NPCs are marked with icons, so finding who you’ll need to speak to has never been so easy. Map improvements will continue to be a focus for the Dragon Saga team.

Hawken E3 Gameplay Commentary

Posted: 20 Jun 2012 02:43 PM PDT

There is nothing quite like the feeling of being in control of a multi-ton rampaging robot. Hawken, a new Mech FPS published by Adhesive Games does a good job of doing just that. You don't use vehicles and other small objects as cover in Hawken. Those things only get in your way and are quickly crushed beneath your steel walker legs. Instead you use large buildings and rooftops to gain the tactical advantage.

While still in early alpha, the game still feels remarkably polished. Adhesive Games is a new and very small team of dedicated gamers who have put together something that can not only go toe to toe with other Mech style games (I'm looking at you MechWarrior Online) but also big budget F2P titles like Planetside 2 and Warface. WAKFU: 2012 Development Roadmap

2012-06-20 09:00

You may have noticed that for the past several weeks, we've attempted a new strategy at enhanced communication towards our development efforts. This has been in direct response towards community feedback.

To continue on this strategy of greater transparency, we would like to present to our loyal fans a list of several large features and changes expected to take place in 2012 for WAKFU the MMORPG. Behold, our 2012 Development Roadmap!

Quickly on the heels of a game update intended to optimize your quality of life through bug correction, it was decided important for us to be up-front with what we envision for WAKFU. While we won't commit to any precise dates just yet, rest assured that all of these (and more) will come by the year’s end – quite demanding, we know.

In short, here's what you need to know:

World Bosses

Having trouble giving the Black Crow a beating? We heard you, and we listened. World Bosses will become more accessible and made more interesting.

The next iteration of these unique characters will be nestled inside a lair where you will have to venture into after the completion of a special quest. But of course, other elements will be improved too, and we will ensure that these encounters pose a real challenge!

Mobile Arenas

Remember that Shustuft Crust arcade dungeon? Well forget about it! More precisely, they will be replaced with our new concept of mobile areas.

In these dungeons that you'll be able to find throughout the World of Twelve, you'll challenge waves of foes! Whether you're alone or in a group, you'll share the same goal: survival. And whether or not you're a Premium Member, you'll be able to take advantage of these new areas and unlock exclusive items.

Player-versus-Player Combat

It has been a long-standing request to structure PvP in a manner that not only makes it interesting, but easier to manage random aggression. This is why the system will be revised, and in particular, through the use of new rules.

Taking advantage of this fine opportunity, we will also add special PvP gear designed to extend the duration of brawls, therefore allowing real tactics to enter into play!

Politics

Another central feature of WAKFU that will benefit greatly from a focused set of improvements will be none other than our grand Political System. New laws, increased regulations, Citizenship Point gain/loss balancing, citizenship-related bonuses… these and more will be added to the game, vastly improving your experience.

Overall, one of our biggest goals on this front is to put an end to the various forms of political abuse that has plagued the servers, in addition to the ensued frustration of the players during these circumstances.

Haven Worlds

Arguably one of the largest projects we will undertake, Haven Worlds will be our attempt at real player and guild housing.

Offering more than your standard Haven Bag, we'll be giving you the power to create real worlds. Guilds will be able to customize these unexplored areas entirely – from the landscape to the buildings themselves; your imagination will be the limit!

Never one to settle, Guild-versus-Guild combat will also make a debut at the same time.

Quests

The existing quest engine will be improved through diversification. What this means, precisely, is that a new system will be integrated which will consider surrounding environmental triggers.

Furthermore, additional quests will be added with the intent to help guide progression and encourage world exploration.

Information Access

Do you balk at trudging through the internet to find out more about all the little intricacies of WAKFU? New tools will be provided to help keep you updated!

Beginning with the forums, a new header for important announcements has already been implemented. Shortly following this addition, a special location for Dev Blogs and information will be provided.

Game-wise, text and video inserts will be displayed on the launch screen which will provide you an overview of the latest content update.

In-game, a newspaper, complete with its own dedicated interface, will provide even more information made with each patch.

Krosmaster Arena

A real game “within” a game: this is what you'll soon discover, thanks to the Krosmaster Arena.

Tournaments, rankings, rewards, exclusive items for the MMO, and virtual figurines… Between two dungeons, PvP fans will be able to compete against each other and even have the opportunity to challenge DOFUS players!

In October, will you become the undisputed champion of the Krosmoz?!

The Foggernauts

The what? The Foggernauts! These strangers will be the newest race introduced to the World of Twelve!

Being an aquatic and technological race, these people will make their way into WAKFU in the next few months. As we inch closer to their arrival, more facts will be released pertaining to this new class.

The Masqueraiders will not emerge from their hidey-holes however, and unfortunately will not be unmasked this year.

The Trool Fair

Finishing on a good note, we reveal the high-flying Trool Fair!

This new zone, arriving in July, will contain a large number of attractions, shows and rides in the form of mini-games (another popular community request). This new content will be made with the goal of providing a unique experience completely different from what else can be found in the World of Twelve.

Don't forget! A carnival isn't complete without being able to win special prizes and gifts!

Conclusion

With all of this fanfare, one facet will continue to stay close to our heart: the improvement of class gameplay; and in the short-term, we will focus on improving the Sadida, Osamodas, and Feca classes.

The same goes for the correction of bugs, the addition of more guild content, further areas to Mount Zinit, growth of Ogrest’s Chaos, as well as a high-level adventure zone: the Whispering Island! But alas, more information will come soon (and dare we say maybe something about Kwismas?).

Ragnarok Online Announces Start of Annual PvP Tournament

Posted: 20 Jun 2012 11:56 AM PDT

Gravity Interactive has announced the start of their United States Ragnarok Championship (USRC).

The USRC is an annual PvP tournament for Ragnarok Online. Matches this year will begin on Saturday, June 23, at 11am (Pacific). Registration is open now for players to prepare teams of seven for combat. This year’s tournament will be slightly restructured to have the US championship mirror other Ragnarok championships world wide, and will allow third class characters for the first time.

Tournaments will require two out of three wins, while title matches will be a best of five. Matches will be limited to seven minutes maximum; the team with the most characters standing will be declared a winner at that point. There will be skill restrictions (including a 167 skill point limit), and vendors will offer equal equipment to all players.

This year’s prizes include $1050 for the tournament champions, $595 for second place, and $350 for third place. Fans can also enter raffles during the tournament for cash prizes.

Gravity Interactive also publishes ROSE Online and Dragon Saga.

RAGNAROK ONLINE THROWS DOWN FOR ANNUAL PVP CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT

Cool Team Vs. Team Action In The Hot Sun

Marina del Rey, California -June 19, 2012 – Gravity Interactive, a publisher of exciting massive multiplayer online role-playing games (MMORPGs), announced today the start of the annual player versus player tournament for their wildly popular anchor title, Ragnarok Online. Matches begin Saturday, June 23rd at 11 am Pacific, and will be broadcast live on the Ragnarok Online Twitch.tv channel at http://twitch.tv/warpportal. Players can register their teams now on the official registration page and prepare for a grueling tournament of champions. Full details of the competition, including a massive list of potential prizes, can be found in the announcement on the Ragnarok Online portal at http://www.playragnarok.com/news/eventdetail.aspx?id=179

“We’re changing the rules a little this year, to structure the competition the same way it’s held worldwide – and that includes adding some sweet cash prizes,” said Jason Heimdallr Koerperich, Ragnarok Online Producer at Gravity Interactive. “This tournament is also the first time we’re permitting third class characters to join in, meaning the competition just went up a whole new level because these are powerful characters!”

“Let’s get ready to ruuuuuuuumbleeeeeee.” The United States Ragnarok Championship (USRC) is about to begin. Teams of 7 will be able to brawl in last-man-standing PVP arenas. Regular tournament play will require a team to win 2 out of 3 matches to advance. Title matches, to determine 1st through 4th, will be a best of 5. Matches will last for a maximum of seven minutes: after that, whichever team has the most characters standing will be declared winners to break the stalemate.

During the tournament, some skills will be restricted, including select abilities from the Shadow Chaser, Geneticist, and Sorcerer. Players will also be limited to 167 skill points total, so players will need to be creative in their character builds. Prior to battles, equipment can be purchased from vendors to ensure top quality gear is available to all to ensure a fair playing field.

The big draw for this year’s USRC is the amazing Cash prizes! The tournament champions will win $1050 USD for our Champions, while the runner up team receives $595. Third place goes home with a respectable $350; for a total prize pool of $2000 USD! Spectators aren’t being left out of the tournament, either: sharing the Ragnarok Online’s Facebook posts, or tweeting with the hashtag #USCR2012 will enter fans into a raffle drawing for additional cash prizes.

The delicate seals that protect the world from spilling into complete chaos weaken and break, and only the knowledge and power from the age of myth can save Midgard from certain doom. Can you and your allies push back the threat of total annihilation and protect Midgard from the final Ragnarok?
