From today through January 4th, folks can try out Black Desert Online for free for an entire week. There are no restrictions and all game passes are 50% off so once the week's play is concluded, players can pick up right where they left off.

The Division - Free Play Weekend Starts Today

From today through December 18th, The Division is free to anyone who uses the Uplay platform. The base game is free all weekend, though expansions are not. The offer starts at 10:00 am Pacific / 1:00 pm Eastern and ends on Monday at 1:00 pm Pacific / 3:00 pm Eastern.

Conan Exiles - Digital Comic Announced & Live Stream This Friday

Funcom has a pair of announcements of interest to Conan Exiles fans. The first is that a new digital comic will be produced to give a unique look at the world the game will feature. It is being published by Dark Horse Comics and will be available in January.

Lord of the Rings Online - Yule Festival Delayed Until December 19th to Add New Items

Turbine has announced that the Lord of the Rings Online holiday celebration will be delayed until Monday, December 19th. This year's Yule Festival was originally scheduled to begin on December 15th but the team has new items to add that are going to require additional time, hence the slight delay. The good news is that the end of Yule Festival has been extended to January 16th.

Pokemon Go - Physical Activity Not Sustained According to BMJ Study

The BMJ, once known as the British Medical Journal, has published a new paper studying the global Pokemon Go phenomenon and has discovered that physical activity increased at first but was not sustained after six weeks. Over 1800 participants between 18 and 35 from the US took part using an iPhone 6 app to count daily steps.

Those lucky enough to have been chosen for the Breakaway alpha for Amazon Game Studios' first entry into the market have a couple of days to get the client downloaded prior to the start of the first round of testing for the "4v4 mythological sport brawler". Alpha testing will take place in waves throughout the event, though devs did mention "clearing up your Thursdays and Saturdays".

THQ Nordic has announced that the Titan Quest Anniversary Edition has been released on the Windows 10 Store. The special Anniversary Edition features the original Titan Quest plus the Immortal Throne with reworked stability, performance, balance and AI improvements. According to press information, over a thousand changes have been made to TQ since the release of v1.0 over ten years ago.

Valkyria Chronicles is moving westward and it comes to us with a new name: Valkyria Revolution. The game will be brought to the PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita and XBox One in physical or digital forms and for PlayStation Vita in digital only. According to Deep Silver, the publishing arm for the Americas and Europe, Valkyria Revolution should be ready to go in Q2 2017.

It wasn't until the Knights of the Fallen Empire expansion late last year that BioWare's vision for the future of SWTOR crystalized. The studio strongly shifted focus back towards what set the game apart from its peers: the story. But Fallen Empire wasn't without flaws. BioWare got caught up in the massive focus on story and seemed to forget the game was still an MMO. Thankfully, Knights of the Eternal Throne successfully strikes that balance and this bodes well for the game's future.

inXile Entertainment has announced that Torment: Tides of Numenera will finally be leaving Early Access and head to full release on February 28, 2017 for PC, XBox One and PlayStation 4. Players can get hold of the PC version via GoG or Steam.
