General: When Games Inspire - An Age of Dragons

Dragon Age is a series of games which prides itself on telling stories which connect with people on a personal level. Because of this and also because it has existed for about seven years at this point there is an ample amount of high quality fan creations devoted to Dragon Age and I am sure I'll revisit this fandom a few times. Also, though I do have a few things from DA2 most of what I have today is from the most recent game, Dragon Age: Inquisition.

General: Heroes of Incredible Tales (HIT) Launches Worldwide

Nexon and NAT Gaming have announced that Heroes of Incredible Tales, or HIT, has officially launched worldwide for both Android and iOS devices. HIT is a hack and slash RPG built on the Unreal Engine 4. Developed by Yong-Hyun Park, originally the lead designer behind Lineage II and TERA, the game has been on top of Korean mobile charts with over five million downloads.

Paragon: Greystone Next Hero to Join Up

UPDATE: Thanks to Volgore, we have the Brazilian Overwatch Tweet about the schematic created by Torbj�rn but, unlike the US version, this one cites "A. Amari" as one of the recipients. A. Amari, for those who have followed the lore behind Overwatch, is Pharah's mother also known as "Sombra. Check out the images below to see the differences between the US and Brazilian versions.

Blade & Soul: Shadows of the Innocents Content Update Coming July 20th

NCSoft has sent word that the first information has been delivered to the Blade & Soul site about the next content expansion that is set to hit live servers on July 20th. Called Shadows of the Innocents, new content includes Acts 5 and 6 that continues the story line after the fall of the Dark Lord. In addition, Three new heroic dungeons will be incoming, one of which features 4- or 6-players, the other a 24-player instanced dungeon.

Blade & Soul: Linked Server Groups Announced for July 14th

The Blade & Soul site has been updated with a new blog post that lays out the first details about 'linked server groups' coming to the game on July 14th. Servers will be linked via language with world zones connected for game play purposes. Linked servers will have combined Faction populations with servers matched to keep balance as equitable as possible.

Das Tal: US Server to be Added for Summer Alpha

The Das Tal site has been updated with the news that an American server will be added in time for the Summer Alpha. The decision was made in response to the popular support the game is receiving in both North and South America and this server joins the EU server to house all players.

LawBreakers: Next Closed Alpha Event Coming This Weekend

Boss Key Studios has announced that the next Lawbreakers closed alpha event will take place on Saturday, July 9th and Sunday, July 10th, with servers open from 9:00 am - 9:00 pm Pacific / 12:00 pm - 12:00 am Eastern. Players will be able to check out a new map, Promenade, that was shown during last month's E3 convention. Promenade joins the already-included Overcharge game mode and the first four roles representing eight characters.

The latest Overwatch Twitter post is a schematic for a weapon created by Torbj�rn that seems to be some sort of sniper rifle with biotic healing capabilities, something which Mercy seems to have issue given the potential for weaponization. Many are speculating that the next character, "Sombra", is actually Ana Amari, Egyptian sniper and the mother of Pharah.

It's been a week or so since Riders of Icarus entered Open Beta (for Founders at least), and I've been finding it oddly cathartic and relaxing to delve into a new MMORPG that doesn't seem afraid to let its Inspired-By flag fly. While a lot of Riders of Icarus is clich�d, the game's got a certain sense of charm and I find myself wanting to log in regardless of knowing exactly where the adventure leads.

No Matter Studios has officially launched its KickStarter initiative for Prey for the Gods, an action survival game that takes place in a frozen wasteland. The team seeks to raise $300,000 to complete development of the game that was first revealed last year.
