General: Funcom Equity Moves to Positive Numbers with New Investment

Funcom has announced that it has secured a $6.4M private investment in the company and that, combined with other debt conversion initiatives, its equity has improved from -$10M to +4M. The move gives the company better financial stability and footing to continue to develop both small and large titles including Conan Exiles, currently scheduled to hit beta testing this summer.

Final Fantasy XV: New Kingsglaive Movie Images Surface

Square Enix has released several new images from the live-action movie being filmed based on Final Fantasy XV. Called Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV, the movie is scheduled for release on July 9th in Japan with an English language version for release later via stream, download or Blu-Ray.

No Man's Sky: 'Reliable Sources' Reporting Delay to Later 2016

Kotaku is citing a pair of 'reliable sources' indicating that No Man's Sky will slip past its currently scheduled June 2016 release date and may not show up until late July or August at the earliest. According to a Gamestop employee, stores were informed that the date had changed since the printing of promotional material thus requiring the date to be covered up.

General: Victus Game: Rewriting History YOUR Way

A small indie Bulgarian team has started a KickStarter project for Victus: Rewrite History, an MMORTS that has been in development for over eighteen months and is ready to start beta testing. The team is looking for a very modest $15,000 to complete the project that allows players to pit Ancient Greece, Rome and Egypt against one another with a very engaging art style. The team is committed to no pay-to-win and viability of units in the late game plus a whole lot more.

Aion: Echoes of Eternity Expansion Teased

The Aion site has been updated with a brief teaser to introduce players to the first information about a forthcoming expansion called Echoes of Eternity. According to the post, players will enjoy a level cap increase to 75, a new instance called the Archives of Eternity and will be able to adventure through two new zones, Norsvold and Iluma.

Darkfall: Security Exploits Datamined, Endanger Licensed Projects

In its original incarnation, Aventurine's Darkfall was known to have more than a few exploits. Those exploits have remained in the code even after closing the game and licensing it to a pair of new developers to bring it back to life. The Rise of Agon team recently released the game to alpha where the same code being used by it and Darkfall: New Dawn has been datamined, thereby endangering the hack-free environment of both games.

Riders of Icarus is an upcoming free-to-play MMO by game developer WeMade and publisher Nexon. Icarus puts an interesting focus on mounted aerial warfare, reminding me a bit of the Panzer Dragoon game series.
